Dreadbox TYPHON review and tutorial

Dreadbox TYPHON Review, Tutorial and 9 Patch Ideas

TYPHON is a two-oscillator, single filter analog monosynth from Dreadbox, with digital effects from SineVibes – and it does quite a few things in an original way, both in terms of controls, and in terms of price. At under 400 dollars or euros, it still has preset storage, excellent effects, and a very powerful mod matrix. In this video, review it in-depth, check out its pros and cons, and cover a few patch ideas to help make the most of it:

  1. Great videos on your channel, I am a regular follower! I want to ask: which software do you use to display the waveforms in your video (the oscilloscope and the wave)? Best regards

  2. Szalom!
Having 500Euros to spend, which one of Dreadboxes would you suggest for Ambient/Berlin/Cinematic sounds
    – Erebus V3
    – Typhon
    – else
or simply add another 500 and dive for Abyss?
Fantastic reviews, Ziv – bringing more Light into nowadays jungle of synths, etc.
    Chapeau bas,

    1. Thanks! My best tip is not to listen to advice from anyone because no one knows what’s right for you. Watch my videos of course 😉 but make up your mind based on your needs, not mine

  3. I am relatively new to synths, but is this compatible with using the beatstep pro? I have not seen it used with an external sequencer. I’m not really interested the built in one, but like the controls, modulations, and effects that it comes with. As best I can tell from youtube, sound possibility too. My controller will be a beatstep pro.
